Laboratory setup for eyeblink conditioning in the rabbit

This particular setup is designed for eyeblink conditioning in combination with microinjections of drugs in the brain and with recording of multiple channels (64 channels) of single unit activity.  Use links above or click on labeled parts of the lab photo (around red dots)  to learn about the setup details.

Oscilloscopes for monitoring eyeblinks and cell activity Conditioning chamber. Provides sensory and electrical isolation. Infrared camera. Part of the close video circuit for animal monitoring. Second camera is placed on the other side of the chamber. Oscilloscope for monitoring of eyeblink signal during the eyeblink sensor setup. Audio amplifiers for the generation of auditory CS Gated programable wave generator. Provides sinewave for the auditory CS. Picospritzer. Can be used for microinjections that are driven by a pulse of pressurized air. Bank of 64 differential amplifiers for single unit recording (Grass NeuroData System) Video monitor. Part of the animal videomonitoring system. Panel for interfacing periferal devices with the computer clock board. Computer video monitor. Air US delivery controller Video multiplexer. Multiplexes signal from two infrared video cameras. Patch panel for routing signals to oscilloscopes and to the A/D board Data acquisition and experiment control computer Eyeblink conditioning laboratory.
