Admissions Requirements Applicants are expected to have an undergraduate or advanced degree in one of the basic or applied sciences, such as biochemistry, biology, human medicine, immunobiology, neuroscience, physiology, pharmacology, psychology, veterinary medicine, or zoology. Appropriate undergraduate coursework includes mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biological science. Application Procedures The Iowa State University’s Neuroscience Program application procedure requires a self-managed application. Use links below to download application forms and a corresponding checklist. Admission to Neuroscience Program and ISU is a two-step process in which an application is required for each step. Admission to both the Neuroscience Program and ISU is required. A self-managed application includes, the original and two photocopies of the Application for Graduate Admissions; nonrefundable application fee is required; two official academic transcripts from each previous institution attended in sealed envelopes; official GRE score; official TOEFL score for nonnative English speakers; Neuroscience Program Application; Statement of Purpose, Goals, and Research Interests; Resume or Curriculum Vitae.
